My Teacher Training Story by Sat Ardas Kaur

My Teacher Training Story by Sat Ardas Kaur

I took my first yoga class over 24 years ago never envisioning how it would ultimately shape and change my life. I never in a million years thought I would be blessed to teach yoga to others. After years of various form of Hatha Yoga practice, I fell into (or got dragged into) Kundalini Yoga just when I needed it the most. No matter how many times I left I always came back to Kundalini Yoga mostly because it always felt like coming home. It was then that I knew I wanted to learn more, experience more, feel more and teaching training seemed the place to start. So of course I resisted it for many years (six to be exact) with various reasons- too much time away from home, too much money, too much this too much that. Finally one August I packed my bags and headed off to New Mexico for 220 hours of teacher training in three weeks.   I have to say it kicked my butt, it made me cry, it made me laugh, and it changed me forever. And thank God for that. So the moral to my story is- if Kundalini Yoga feels like home and your soul is longing for more, don’t wait six years like I did start the journey now!!!
