Together we’ll explore kundalini yoga basics with an emphasis on “I Am”, this fundamental kundalini yoga teaching.  But, what does “I Am” really mean?

I Am beautiful, bountiful, and blissful.
I Am the light of my soul.
I Am what I am.
Humee Hum Brahm Hum — I Am the spirit of God

Let’s cultivate this “I Am-ness” together – this place is grounding, steadiness, wisdom, and joy. It is from this place that we thrive.

Soorya Nam has practiced yoga and meditation for 15 years.  In 2020, she completed KRI Level 1 teacher training at Yoga4All Tucson.  She also completed a 200-hour hatha teacher training in 2016 at Open Space Yoga in Hawaii, a forever love of hers.

My practice began with Zen meditation.  Thanks to my first teacher, Genpo Roshi, I was set on a path of discovery.  Hatha yoga and a bhakti yoga practice led to festivals, events, and classes from profound teachers.  Then, having discovered kundalini yoga, a seed was planted and a pull toward kundalini yoga began.  This pull has been the greatest blessing.  Through this practice there is a connection to truth and divinity.  The tools are powerful, offering clarity and focus.  From this place we lead from the heart.  I’m so grateful for these teachings, and it is from the sincerest place that I share them as a teacher.

My second love is nature and the outdoors, especially with friends and family in new and exciting places!  For me, yoga and nature are so closely related they are the same.  Wahe guru!
