Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of transformation. It is a sacred technology passed on for thousands of years to help us become totally aware and to access our creative potential. It is experience that allows us to be healthy, happy, and whole.

Every Kundalini Yoga class is unique in its design and focus. So you can expect to have a unique experience each time you practice Kundalini Yoga! Class will always include breathwork, a sequence of postures(a kriya), deep relaxation, and meditation. Class will often include mantra(chanting) and gong meditation. Although Kundalini Yoga teachers do not physically assist or adjust students into a posture,demonstrations, modifications, corrections, and encouragement are all provided such that students can perform the exercises to the best of their ability without getting injured. Generally, Kundalini Yoga is done with the eyes closed and an internal focus. It is a practice of self-initiation; so students will not be singled-out or pressured in any way. Teachers and most students dress in loose, comfortable clothing to accommodate the many moving postures. In Kundalini Yoga, we like to do our best, keep up and be kept up, and HAVE FUN!
