Embrace the Power of the Breath: A Community 40-Day Practice

Embrace the Power of the Breath
A Community 40-Day Practice
Saturday, June 3- Wednesday, July 12

“You live by the breath. You can get everything from your breath of life. Now please, speak to your breath. Talk to it. Pray with it. This is a life relationship: you and your breath. You can achieve what you want, just relate to your own breath of life. That is God in you. Never breathe unconsciously and never waste a breath on negativity. Feel the breath in your own consciousness, feel it in your body. Feel it in the mind, and the soul will awaken.” – Yogi Bhajan

A practice of 40 days allows the breaking of a habit. Come and join me to awaken your soul as you consciously breathe. Embrace the practice of Breath of Fire (Agni Pran) for 11 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of the practice of One Minute Breath. These pranayamas will guide you to living a more vibrant life, and help you relieve stress and be healthier. Breath of Fire will energize you and One Minute Breath will give you an opportunity to experience calm during chaos. Everyone, at any level, is invited and no previous experience is required.

Sant Kaur invites you to participate in this sadhana beginning as part of Saturday’s 10:30 am class on June 2. It will be taught as part of Saturday’s classes June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1 and July 8. Our 40th day of this practice will conclude at Wednesday’s July 12 6:30pm Kundalini Yoga class. She will join Arvindpal to co-teach this class. You are welcome to participate in all days to get the full benefit. Some days you may find yourself practicing on your own or with a buddy. Please join in whenever possible to be part of the group energy of the classes as well!

Yoga Grace Revisited with Sat Ardas

Yoga Grace Revisited with Sat Ardas

Recently I was going through old files on my computer and found a project I did with my friend and mentor Guru Ravi Kaur some 12 years ago. A manual written together called Yoga Grace: A Guide to Daily Practice. Some of you old timers may even have a copy.  Our intention was to create a way for students to deepen their experience of Kundalini Yoga through a routine of reverence.  We call that routine our daily spiritual practice or better known as our daily sadhana.  As I looked through the pages I was reminded of the joy, laughter and love that it was created. I was once again amazed by the vast amount of information Yogi Bhajan shared with us during his lifetime.  As a way to honor the teachings and my teachers, I share with you the gems in this manual and go beyond with what I’ve learned since as a student, teacher and teacher trainer. I invite you all to join me for a blissful summer series!

We play to elevate spirit, release dark states and re-attune into a peaceful calm. This is a hands-on class with each student personally guided by Sangeet, a true master at gong healing who over the past 25+ years has evolved the system from the original instructions given by Kundalini Yoga Master Yogi Bhajan. You will learn many playing techniques and how to integrate effects between chakras, energy meridians and the 10 Energy Bodies. We use only Paiste gongs as these were preferred by Yogi ji for this therapeutic purpose.

While this is a beginner/beginning-intermediate class, anyone can join in. The few short mantras we use (to tune in” to the gong’s energy) can be learned by anyone. Handouts will be provided.

S.S. Sangeet Kaur Khalsa

Sangeet is a KRI Senior Lead Trainer for Levels 1, 2, and 3 personally trained by Yogi Bhajan and teaching for 37 years. All You Need Is LOVE

All You Need Is LOVE

Kundalini Yoga with Sant Kaur & Sat Ardas
Saturday February 11th 10:30am-12:00 noon
$12 single or class pass

“Love is the experience within one’s self of one’s own selflessness. That’s why love is God. No one can explain love because love is ecstasy. Love is the essence of an ever-longing devotion. Love does not change. If love changes, it is not love.” – Yogi Bhajan

We invite you to change and grow Saturday, February 11 at Yoga4All Tucson! This special class will focus on deep emotional healing. Be present for this experience of the heart!

When there is a desire for change, there is a need to let go. We must allow the mind to transcend details and then the subconscious can dismiss pain. We can reach a sensitive, aware presence and find the confidence of the soul.

Nature has a way of preserving roots until spring arrives. Humans parallel this action. Meditation creates cellular stirrings, opening the mind and the aura to allow new perceptions. The root is planted deep into the soul and with that stirring, blossoming will occur. New patterns are established, allowing us to make new behaviors and repair relationships.

By sitting in a pattern known as “sacred geometry”, we will heal the wounds of love. The experience will be magnified by the group energy. If you are so inclined, bring a friend!

We will chant the mantra “Aad Sach, Jugaad Sach, Haibhay Sach, Nanak Hosee Bhai Sach” (“True in the beginning, True throughout the Ages, True at this moment, Nanak says this Truth shall ever be.”) in between passages of Mere Man Lochai. These are the four letters that Guru Arjan wrote to his father, Guru Ram Das. The letters are part of a bigger prayer that Sikhs recite daily, expressing deep longing for union with the Divine. (Guru Arjun’s Love Letters Story) We will be led by the beautiful strong recorded voices of Guru Raj Kaur and Nirinjan Kaur. When we can deeply listen, in a state of shuniya, this shabd invokes the ether element, opening the mind and aura to allowing new perceptions and new actions. Listen to a sound clip here.

Yogi Bhajan taught us that “japa” (repetition of a mantra or shabd) will train the mind and give us tools for change.

This can be your first chanting experience or your 1000th! We will guide you on this journey to the heart, providing you with an English translation of the shabd and a transliteration for support in your chanting experience. If you are unfamiliar with the shabd, reading it along with the sounds or hearing and repeating as you hear is very effective. The rhythm will penetrate your cells in the primal language of sound.

Please bring water in a non-spill container and a light shawl or blanket. It is recommended that to insulate your solar centers that you cover your head lightly.

Happy New Year to All!

Happy New Year to All!

Prayer for a Happy New Year

By Yogi Bhajan

In God’s love for you alone, life unfolds
Like a silken cone unwinds.
And we are all woven, one with God.
Strands of silk,
Sacred and divine.
The drums of war are loud and clear,
But hope of peace is also near.
If the Word of God will lead the people
And compassion will flow with the beat of the heart,
The human race will find its essence.
Let us pray for love of peace.
Let us pray for love of truth.
Let us pray for everyone to pray
For the innocent in bondage
Miles and miles away.
Let us pray for the innocent victims.
Let us pray on the death of the innocents–
Those humans created in the image of God,
Tortured by men with earthly authority,
Actions so far away from morality.
In my prayer
I wish you the wealth of peace
To make beautiful our tomorrow
Where human beings can live in love
Forever free from sorrow.
