40 Day Sadhana with Tejpal

40 Day Sadhana with Tejpal

Boredom? Or ,…?

When I invite my clients or students to do a daily spiritual practice, very few end up really doing it. I have heard many stories…stuff gets in the way…kids, work, health, family crisis, etc.

The real truth is that most of you are bored with yourself…yup…most of you are like a little kid that needs to be distracted every so often. And because it is so easy to get distracted these days you get bored even faster. Now you are not the only one! I can relate now and then!

If we get bored with ourselves so easily…then our all life is going to be full of distractions, attachments and we will go through a constant emotional rollercoaster. There is one thing we need to do is to fall in love with ourselves again and that is a discipline.

Loving yourself is not about liking yourself.  Loving yourself is about embracing all of who you are your light and your shadow. It is about accepting with kindness your beauty and your limitations. Loving yourself is a practice that helps you to stay away from the polarity of the positive and negative minds.

The most efficient way to get there is to have a daily spiritual practice. As you do it you go beyond pain or pleasure, you become less reactive and impulsive. You have a chance to experience inner stillness and from that place you can see clearly and make life choices that are truly meaningful to you.

On November 6th will be a 40 days meditation and I will give some you insights on committing to a daily spiritual practice. This particular meditation will uplift your spirit and help you to create inner peace.  Join me for this class as the more we are doing it together the more we support each other and the deeper we go into our practice.

With much love

Tejpal

We can observe and be fully present in each moment of our lives, even in the most difficult situations, when we possess the courage and neutrality to see the world as it is, not how we wish it to be. In this eight week class series we will practice pranayam, kriyas, and meditations to cultivate awareness and neutrality so that we may be grateful – great and full – and enjoy life.

Embrace the Power of the Breath: A Community 40-Day Practice

Embrace the Power of the Breath: A Community 40-Day Practice

Embrace the Power of the Breath
A Community 40-Day Practice
Saturday, June 3- Wednesday, July 12

“You live by the breath. You can get everything from your breath of life. Now please, speak to your breath. Talk to it. Pray with it. This is a life relationship: you and your breath. You can achieve what you want, just relate to your own breath of life. That is God in you. Never breathe unconsciously and never waste a breath on negativity. Feel the breath in your own consciousness, feel it in your body. Feel it in the mind, and the soul will awaken.” – Yogi Bhajan

A practice of 40 days allows the breaking of a habit. Come and join me to awaken your soul as you consciously breathe. Embrace the practice of Breath of Fire (Agni Pran) for 11 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of the practice of One Minute Breath. These pranayamas will guide you to living a more vibrant life, and help you relieve stress and be healthier. Breath of Fire will energize you and One Minute Breath will give you an opportunity to experience calm during chaos. Everyone, at any level, is invited and no previous experience is required.

Sant Kaur invites you to participate in this sadhana beginning as part of Saturday’s 10:30 am class on June 2. It will be taught as part of Saturday’s classes June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1 and July 8. Our 40th day of this practice will conclude at Wednesday’s July 12 6:30pm Kundalini Yoga class. She will join Arvindpal to co-teach this class. You are welcome to participate in all days to get the full benefit. Some days you may find yourself practicing on your own or with a buddy. Please join in whenever possible to be part of the group energy of the classes as well!

Yoga Grace Revisited with Sat Ardas

Yoga Grace Revisited with Sat Ardas

Recently I was going through old files on my computer and found a project I did with my friend and mentor Guru Ravi Kaur some 12 years ago. A manual written together called Yoga Grace: A Guide to Daily Practice. Some of you old timers may even have a copy.  Our intention was to create a way for students to deepen their experience of Kundalini Yoga through a routine of reverence.  We call that routine our daily spiritual practice or better known as our daily sadhana.  As I looked through the pages I was reminded of the joy, laughter and love that it was created. I was once again amazed by the vast amount of information Yogi Bhajan shared with us during his lifetime.  As a way to honor the teachings and my teachers, I share with you the gems in this manual and go beyond with what I’ve learned since as a student, teacher and teacher trainer. I invite you all to join me for a blissful summer series!
