Spring Equinox Retreat in the Chiricahua Mountains

Beneath the crown of the Chiricahua Mountains, I returned to the soil that first claimed me, the sacred landscape of my birth.

The spring equinox retreat was more than just a retreat. It was a reclaiming of the ancient resonance that flows through my blood, and these canyons alike.

Each morning as we moved through yoga, my breath mirrored the rising sun, stretching towards a profound sense of sisterhood that felt like an anchor of protection and grace. Nourished by the vibrant Earth in every vegetarian meal and held by the steady hearts of my companions, I felt the heavy pull of the past dissolve into the light of the present.

As a Yoeme woman in the midst of a spiritual expansion, I am no longer just standing on this land; I am woven into it, finding my unique wave in the vast rhythm pulse of the universe and honoring the Ancestors who whispered my name long before I arrived.
