Listening is paying attention, and can mean action or respect. We can connect to another person by hearing with both ears to their words and witnessing, not judging or trying to fix anything. The wisdom of mantras is carried on the Naad, the sound current, waves that vibrate the eardrum. The person chanting feels those vibrations from the inside, directly from the larynx and nasal passages. Deeply listening is a practice. By listening to feelings in the body we can learn how to care for ourselves with appropriate movement, rest and nourishment. What do I need: to relax, flow, build strength, connect with myself, expand my field of view outside of myself? Can I allow enough silence to listen to my soul? Do I know my heart’s deepest desire? The fourth chakra, the heart center, is called Anahata. It means the “unstruck sound” and we can listen for this vibration with all the senses to understand All That Is. As a Sangha we look forward to being attuned to the skill of listening during the month of April.

The mission of Yoga4All Tucson is to educate, inspire and encourage those who would like to practice Kundalini Yoga. Our mission is fulfilled by assisting anyone who can breathe to do Kundalini Yoga in a nurturing and safe environment.  Our intent is to share this knowledge system to decrease stress, elevate the individual and improve the quality of life of all who attend our classes.  Yoga4All Tucson is a recognized  501(c)(3) non-profit yoga studio.
